Things to Think About When Carrying Out the MRP Planning Run

The most important prerequisite for carrying out a planning run is that requirements planning has already been activated (in Customizing) for the plant for which planning is to be carried out.

The planning run depends on various criteria. It is influenced by the following points:

• Is the planning run to be carried out for a plant or a for material?

• What should be the extent of the planning run, that is, which planning run type have you decided to use?

• Are planned orders or purchase requisitions to be created for externally procured materials?
